Mobilize Churches
Transform Your City
Join a growing movement of churches and nonprofits working side by side to meet real needs and point people to Christ.
If your church vanished tomorrow, would your city even notice?
Many churches have a heart for local missions. They organize service projects, support nonprofits, and respond when needs arise.
But without someone intentionally leading those efforts, ministry can become scattered, partnerships go undeveloped, and church members miss opportunities to serve and spread the Gospel in their own backyards.
One Person Can Help Mobilize an Entire Congregation: Enter the Community Minister.
A Community Minister is a designated church leader who helps connect your congregation with opportunities to:
meet local needs
build community partnerships
and share Christ's love through service.
That leader doesn't have to be a paid staff member. A trusted, equipped volunteer can help your church take the next step.
In fact, your church's next outreach leader is likely already sitting in one of your pews.

Researching Local Outreach Impact Across America
We spearhead nationwide research efforts every year to learn about the effectiveness of local outreach through the Church in order to better inform future training and advocacy across the country.
Training Current Community Ministers
An essential part of successfully integrating churches into their cities is employing Community Ministers (also known as Local Outreach church leaders). We launched a network specifically to train up these essential people that includes online courses, annual outreach summits, and free resources regarding all things local outreach through the Church.
Helping Churches Establish Brand New Community Minister Positions
No one church can meet every need, and many churches aren’t close enough to the problem to be effective in helping on their own. We work with many churches to establish new Community Ministers who can work together to mobilize their congregations outside the walls of their churches.

Transforming cities for Christ through effective local outreach isn’t just a nice idea; it’s really happening! It started in Kansas City over 10 years ago, and the effects are still being felt today.
